Heart of Lions head coach Bashir Hayford has lamented over the team’s current position in the Ghana Premier League standings.
The Kpando-based outfit last weekend secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Swedru All Blacks in their Week 25 fixture of the 2025/26 football season.
The victory ended the team’s three-game losing streak in the league campaign but left them in 10th place.
Speaking ahead of his team’s MTN FA Cup quarter-final clash against Dreams FC on Sunday, March 15, Bashir Hayford noted that Heart of Lions will head into the game with confidence and return to action in the Premier League with determination to move up the league table.
“As for the 10th position, we are still not satisfied because we started in the second and third position, and now we have come to 10th. It’s not something we are happy about, but it’s good we have gotten three points so that we can breathe a little and wait for the next match,” Hayford told Heart of Lions TV.
The upcoming FA Cup quarter-final encounter between Dreams FC and Heart of Lions will kick off at 3 pm on Sunday at the Cape Coast Stadium.
