Asante Kotoko head coach Prince Owusu has appealed to supporters to continue believing in the team amid their struggles in the ongoing 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
The Porcupine Warriors are currently enduring a run of poor form in the Ghanaian top-flight league campaign. In their last five outings, the Reds have only won once, losing three and drawing the other match.
The team’s poor form has forced some supporters to lose hope in the side, with many giving up on any chance of winning the league title at the end of the season.
Speaking in a pre-match interview ahead of Asante Kotoko’s next league match against Nations FC, Prince Owusu admonished the supporters to keep believing in the team, assuring that players are determined to turn things around in the coming matches.
“Yeah, I don't blame them for giving up and everything, but I still want to tell them that there's hope. And then we are ready to turn this around. Where we are in the league, that's not where we're going to end up. So, they should be with us till we get up there. So, we will be happy together,” the coach said.
The next Ghana Premier League fixture between Asante Kotoko and Nations FC is scheduled to kick off at 3 pm at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, March 22.
