Ghana’s head coach, Otto Addo, has expressed strong confidence in his squad’s readiness ahead of their high-profile international friendly against Austria on Friday, March 27, 2026.
Speaking at a pre-match press conference in Vienna, Addo emphasised that the technical team has conducted an exhaustive tactical breakdown of the Austrian side to ensure the Black Stars are not caught off guard by their opponents' aggressive playing style.
"Now the full focus is on Austria. We saw what they do, we have analysed them well and are very hopeful that the players will do it at the end," Addo stated.
This fixture at the Ernst Happel Stadium serves as a cornerstone of Ghana’s preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Black Stars have been drawn into a challenging World Cup Group L alongside England, Croatia, and Panama, making these elite friendlies essential.
After the clash in Vienna, the team will travel to Stuttgart to face Germany on March 30, continuing a demanding schedule designed to sharpen the team for the global stage.
