English-Ghanaian forward Sean Adarkwa came off the bench to find the net, but his goal was only a consolation in Wealdstone’s 5â1 defeat away to Boreham Wood.
Introduced at half-time, Adarkwa struck in the 48th minute to cut the deficit to 2â1 and briefly give the visitors hope of a comeback.
Boreham Wood had already seized control before the break through a James Clarke brace on 33 and 42 minutes. After Adarkwa’s reply, Zak Brunt quickly restored the hosts’ two-goal cushion on 53 minutes, before Clarke completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot in the 74th minute. Substitute Abdul Abdulmalik then added a fifth late on to round off a dominant home display.
For Adarkwa, the goal underlines a solid National League campaign, with the attacker now on 27 appearances, 6 goals and 0 assists for Wealdstone in the 2025/26 season.
Despite this setback, Wealdstone will aim to respond quickly when they travel to face Aldershot Town in their next National League fixture on Monday, April 6, 2026.
