New Ghana head coach Carlos Queiroz has expressed strong confidence in his ability to assemble a competitive squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The experienced Portuguese tactician, recently appointed by the Ghana Football Association, believes the country has enough talent to build a team capable of challenging any opponent on the global stage.
“Ghana has the talent. I am confident we can assemble a good team, a great team for the World Cup,” Queiroz said.
He further emphasised the importance of unity and teamwork in achieving success, stressing that collective effort will be key to Ghana’s performance at the tournament.
“If we play as a team, as one Ghana, we can beat any opponent,” he added.
The new Ghana coach was addressing a press conference in Accra on Thursday, April 23.
Following his official unveiling, the coach has commenced work as head coach of the Black Stars. With decades of experience, a lot will be expected of the coach at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
At the tournament, Ghana is placed in Group L, where the Black Stars will compete with Panama, England, and Croatia.
