Former Ghana international John Paintsil has expressed delight after his outfit, John Paintsil Football Academy, successfully defended their Zone 5 crown in the 2025/26 SOCCABET Division Two League.
The former Black Stars defender described the feat as a significant milestone, commending the team’s consistency, discipline and determination in securing back-to-back league titles.
“Winning the league back-to-back is a proud moment for us,” Paintsil said, reflecting on the academy’s strong performances throughout the season.
The team wrapped up the title in convincing style, rounding off another dominant campaign that has further enhanced their reputation in Ghana’s lower-tier football system.
With the Zone 5 title secured, attention now shifts to the Middle League, where the academy will aim to maintain their momentum and push for promotion to the next level of Ghanaian football.
