Asante Kotoko will be aiming to end their poor run of form when they host already relegated Eleven Wonders at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi
Kotoko’s title hopes have faded following a disappointing second-round campaign, but the Porcupine Warriors remain determined to finish the season strongly.
The Kumasi giants head into the fixture without a win in their last four matches after defeats against Dreams, Medeama and Samartex.
Interim coach Hamza Obeng believes his side must take their chances early to avoid unnecessary pressure during the game.
“Of course, we need to take our chances very quickly, especially in the first half. We need to take our chances by scoring as quickly as possible in the first half so that we will take off pressure and play our normal game as well,” he told AKSC Media.
Eleven Wonders arrive in Kumasi enduring a difficult spell after suffering four consecutive defeats against Swedru All Blacks, Bechem United, Dreams and Medeama.
The already relegated side are now without a victory in 13 straight matches and have conceded in each of those games, underlining their defensive struggles.
Kotoko will also take confidence from their recent record against Wonders. Since April 2020, the two sides have met six times, with Kotoko winning twice while the other four matches ended in draws.
The Porcupine Warriors secured a 2-0 away victory in the reverse fixture played in December 2025 and will be favourites to complete another win on Sunday.
