Black Princesses players are reportedly refusing to leave camp after qualifying for the 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup due to unpaid per diems owed from their recent qualifying matches.
The team secured qualification for the tournament in Poland after defeating Uganda 3-2 on aggregate in the final qualifying round.
However, reports indicate the players are still at their hotel over concerns about unpaid allowances linked to both the Uganda tie and the earlier round against South Africa.
Coach Charles Sampson guided the side through the qualifiers, with Ghana first facing South Africa in February before meeting Uganda this month.
According to reports, some players fear discussions over the unpaid per diems could end once the team disperses, leading to their reluctance to leave camp.
The squad reportedly received a stipend from the Ghana Football Association upon returning to Accra, but the outstanding payments are yet to be settled.
Ghana have now qualified for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup for the eighth consecutive time.
