Raymond Fenny says he is on the path to becoming an elite coach after guiding Hasaacas Ladies to Women’s FA Cup triumph.
He is the first coach to win back-to-back Ghana Women's FA Cups after also doing so with Faith Ladies last season.
The Takoradi-based side clinched the 2025 to 2026 title with a 5-3 penalty shootout victory over Army Ladies on Sunday, following a 1-1 draw after extra time.
“Well, once again, I give God the glory because I think it has not happened before in the Women's League, in Women's FA Cup.
"It's a surprise to me, but I'm happy because it has added to my CV. This proves to me that I am on the right course and with more education about coaching, I think I can rise up to be a very elite coach.”
Fenny’s achievement sees him become the first coach to win the competition in back-to-back seasons, underlining his growing reputation in the domestic women’s game.
The final itself was tightly contested, with both sides creating chances in the first half but failing to find a breakthrough. Hasaacas took the lead late in regulation time when Linda Epo struck in the 87th minute.
Army Ladies responded almost immediately, as Esther Asamoah Yiadom netted her seventh goal of the tournament to force extra time.
Neither side could find a winner in the additional 30 minutes, sending the game to penalties where Hasaacas converted all five spot kicks to secure their second FA Cup title.
