Vice Chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee, Stephen Appiah, has hinted that the players cannot wait to play at the 2026 World Cup, insisting that the players are determined to make an impression.
The four-time African champions will make their fifth appearance at the Mundial summer in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
The Black Stars have been housed in Group L alongside Panama, England and Croatia.
After back-to-back group phase elimination in 2014 and 2022 in Brazil and Qatar, respectively, Appiah says the playing body is determined to put up an impressive performance.
"The players cannot wait to get to the Mundial to perform and show what they can offer the team, so I am happy as a Ghanaian, and the support of the country, the players are determined to impress at the World Cup," the former Black Stars skipper told Asempa FM.
The Black Stars will open their campaign against Panama at BMO Field in Toronto on June 17, before facing England in Boston on June 23, and wrapping up the group stage against Croatia at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on June 27.
Meanwhile, the Black Stars will test their preparedness with friendly games against Mexico on May 22 and Wales on June 2.
