The head coach of Medeama Sporting Club, Ibrahim Tanko, has opened up about the team’s Ghana Premier League title triumph, stressing that the feat was not achieved by fluke.
According to him, the Yellow and Mauves worked hard throughout the season and deserve to be champions at the end of the campaign.
“Winning the Ghana Premier League gives a very good feeling. It doesn’t come by fluke. We worked hard for it. The whole team, the president, the board, the management, and the technical team, together with the playing body, I think we have done a good job. I congratulate all of us,” Ibrahim Tanko told Medi TV,
The coach was speaking in a pre-match interview ahead of the Week 34 Ghana Premier League fixture against Hearts of Oak on Sunday, May 24.
Medeama SC are heading into the match having already secured the Ghana Premier League title last weekend when they defeated Heart of Lions 5-2 at home.
After securing what is their second Ghana Premier League title, Medeama SC will represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League next season.
