The Ghana Football Association will hold a two-day scouting programme in the United Kingdom this week as part of efforts to discover young footballers of Ghanaian descent.
The initiative is scheduled to take place on May 27 and 28, 2026, and forms part of the GFA's broader strategy to strengthen the country's future national teams through early talent identification.
The programme is expected to assess promising UK-based players within a structured development framework designed to support their long-term growth and possible inclusion in Ghana's national team setup.
The scouting exercise follows an engagement session between the GFA and parents of young footballers of Ghanaian heritage held at the Ghana High Commission in London.
GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku explained that the Football Association is committed to building sustainable pathways for dual-national talents and ensuring closer collaboration with families.
GFA Technical Director Joseph Kwame Mintah and Head of Talent Identification Steward McLaren are expected to play leading roles in the scouting and assessment process.
The initiative reflects Ghana's continued efforts to compete for top dual-national talents amid growing competition from European countries for players eligible to represent multiple nations.
