Ghana's Black Stars have held their first training session in the United States as preparations intensify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The team trained at American University in Washington, D.C., shortly after arriving in the United States from Wales, where they played out a 1-1 draw in an international friendly on Tuesday.
The session marked the start of the next phase of Ghana's World Cup preparations as coach Carlos Queiroz continues to fine-tune his squad ahead of the tournament.
Players were put through their paces by the technical team, with the focus on recovery, fitness and tactical work following the long journey from Europe.
The atmosphere in camp appeared positive as the squad adjusted to life in North America ahead of football's biggest competition.
Ghana are expected to continue training over the coming days before moving to their official World Cup base at Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island.
The Black Stars will use the facilities there throughout the tournament as they prepare for their Group L matches against Panama, England and Croatia.
Queiroz's side will open their World Cup campaign against Panama on June 17 in Toronto before taking on England in Boston and Croatia in Philadelphia.
With less than two weeks remaining before their first match, Ghana's preparations are now fully focused on ensuring the squad is ready for the challenges ahead at the World Cup.
