Dutch-Ghanaian winger Deabeas Owusu-Sekyere scored from the spot to cap a dominant first half as Shenzhen Peng City beat Shenzhen Juniors 3â1 in the CFA Cup Round 4 at Baoan Sports Centre Stadium.
Peng City took control early when a Rade Dugalic own goal handed them the lead after just 11 minutes. Xuan Zhijian doubled the advantage in the 18th minute with a precise right-footed finish following good work from Jiang Zhipeng down the left.
Owusu-Sekyere then made it 3â0 in the 41st minute, calmly converting a penalty with a right-footed strike before receiving a yellow card in first-half stoppage time for a robust challenge.
Shenzhen Juniors improved after the break and pulled one back through Arnold Garita’s right-footed effort in the 77th minute, but Peng City managed the closing stages professionally.
Owusu-Sekyere was substituted on 90 minutes to warm applause after an influential display in the final third.
Shenzhen Peng City now shift focus back to league duties, hosting Chengdu Rongcheng in the Chinese Super League on Saturday, June 27, 2026.
