Ghanaian defender Terry Yegbe joins Lech Poznan

Lech Poznan have completed the signing of Ghanaian centre-back Terry Yegbe from French club FC Metz on a permanent deal.

The 25-year-old has signed a contract that runs until 30 June 2030, giving the Polish champions a long-term option in the heart of defence.

Yegbe arrived in Poznan on Tuesday for medical tests, and the transfer was finalised on Wednesday afternoon once all paperwork was completed. Lech’s sporting director Tomasz Rzasa described him as a physically strong, fast and dynamic defender who is also comfortable on the ball and left-footed.

The club had tracked Yegbe for some time, including during his spell in Sweden before his move to Ligue 1. He began his European career with SJK in Finland, then joined IF Elfsborg, where he gained experience in domestic competition and the Europa League against opponents such as Roma, Galatasaray and Tottenham.

After being signed by Metz in August 2025 for 2.6 million euros, Yegbe played 24 matches in Ligue 1 and logged nearly 2,000 minutes. The two-time Ghana international will wear shirt number 59 for Lech.
