Newly appointed Aduana FC head coach Samuel Boadu has officially taken charge of the team, leading the squad through their first pre-season training sessions as preparations for the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season get underway.
The club held their first pre-season workout on Tuesday, with players showing signs of readiness for the challenges ahead.
Boadu, who joined the Ogya Boys following the expiration of his contract with Berekum Chelsea, has already begun supervising training and preparing the team for an intense pre-season programme.
Aduana FC officially announced Boadu's appointment on Friday, June 12, 2026, ending weeks of speculation surrounding the future of the former Hearts of Oak and Berekum Chelsea tactician.
The 40-year-old coach has signed a lucrative three-year contract with the Dormaa Ahenkro-based club, marking the beginning of a new era as the team seeks to reclaim its status among the elite sides in domestic football.
Boadu replaces Romanian manager Cioba Aristica, whose two-year tenure came to a natural end following the expiration of his contract.
Under Aristica, Aduana finished ninth in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League standings after recording 14 wins, 10 draws and 10 defeats from 34 matches. The club's hierarchy will be hoping Boadu's winning mentality and vast top-flight experience can help transform the team into genuine title contenders once again.
Nicknamed "Kofi Yesu" by admirers for his messianic impact at various clubs, Boadu has built a reputation as one of the most successful modern managers in the domestic league. He earned widespread acclaim during his time at Medeama SC before making a high-profile switch to Accra Hearts of Oak in March 2021.
In the 2020/2021 season, he masterminded a memorable treble, leading Hearts to the Ghana Premier League title alongside the FA Cup triumph, ending a long drought for the club. He later added another FA Cup to his collection before departing the club in October 2022.
