Former Vision FC head coach Nana Kwaku Agyemang is set to be appointed as the new head coach of FC Samartex, GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal.
The highly rated tactician is expected to replace Christopher Ennin in the Samartex dugout ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Agyemang has emerged as a sought-after managerial candidate following his spell with Vision FC, where he earned recognition for his work in the Ghana Premier League.
FC Samartex officially confirmed the departure of Christopher Ennin after he stepped down from his position. The club announced the decision in a statement, bringing an end to Ennin's spell with the Samreboi-based side.
"The president of the club, on behalf of the Samartex family, has thanked him for his invaluable service to Samartex. We wish him well in his future endeavours," the club said.
Ennin took charge midway through the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season following the departure of Nurudeen Amadu, who had guided Samartex to their maiden league title. He was tasked with stabilising the team during a challenging campaign and also won the Ghana Premier League Coach of the Month award during his tenure.
Nana Kwaku Agyemang previously guided Vision FC through a challenging campaign in the Ghana Premier League. He holds a CAF A licence and is known for his tactical approach and experience in player development.
The 48-year-old coach has also served as an assistant coach for the Black Starlets, Ghana's U-17 national team, working alongside head coach Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum. His experience at both club and national team levels makes him a strong candidate to lead the Timber Giants into the new season.
