Rockson Yeboah was the standout performer as IFK Goteborg beat Brommapojkarna 2â1, with the Ghanaian defender scoring the opener and dominating defensively.
His towering header from a Tobias Heintz corner in the 54th minute gave IFK the lead, capping a display in which he recorded a game-high 13 defensive contributions, repeatedly clearing danger and winning key duels.
Brommapojkarna briefly hit back through Oliver Berg’s clinical finish on the counter, but IFK responded late on. Sustained pressure from the hosts culminated in Sebastian Clemmensen’s decisive strike from the centre of the box after another corner, restoring the advantage and sealing three important Allsvenskan points at Gamla Ullevi.
Yeboah’s performance continues a strong individual campaign. In the 2026 Allsvenskan, he has now made 12 appearances, scoring two goals and providing one assist, underlining his growing influence at both ends of the pitch.
With confidence high, IFK Goteborg will quickly switch focus to Europe: their next assignment is a UEFA Conference League qualification tie against FCI Levadia on July 21, where Yeboah’s aerial strength and defensive leadership will again be crucial.
