The Chief Executive Officer of Databank Ghan, Kojo Addae-Mensah, has launched an attack on Black Stars midfielder Kwasi Sibo, describing him as not good enough to play for the senior national team.
Sibo made Black Stars' squad for the 2026 World Cup in North America.
The former Real Oviedo midfielder featured in all four games but has come under criticism due to substandard performances he churned out during the tournament.
Reflecting on the performance of the 28-year-old, Addae-Mensah criticised Sibo's performance during the Mundial.
According to him, the midfielder is not good enough and must therefore be overlooked ahead of the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
“Kwasi Sibo is a good footballer, but not good enough to play for Black Stars," Addae-Mensah told Asempa FM.
Meanwhile, Kwasi Sibo is now a free agent after leaving the Spanish side following the expiration of his contract.
Black Stars will return to action in September when they begin their qualification campaign for the 2027 AFCON, having missed the previous edition of the tournament in Morocco.
Ghana has been drawn in Group C alongside Ivory Coast, The Gambia and Somalia.
