Ghana winger Mo Dauda has joined Spanish club CD Lugo from Portimonense on a free transfer, completing a switch from Portugal to Spain. The 28-year-old left winger has signed a contract that runs until 30 June 2027.
Dauda’s move was completed on 13 August 2026, taking him from Portimonense’s Liga Portugal 2 squad to Lugo, who compete in Primera Federacion - Gr. I. He joins the Spanish side after one season with Portimonense, having moved to the Portuguese club from CD Tenerife on a free transfer in September 2025.
The Larabanga-born player is predominantly a left winger and prefers his right foot. He stands 1.74m tall and has spent much of his senior career moving between clubs in Portugal and Spain.
Before joining Portimonense, Dauda was with Tenerife, where he returned after a loan spell at UD Ibiza during the 2024-25 season. He also spent part of the 2023-24 campaign on loan at Eldense before returning to Tenerife at the end of that season.
Dauda originally moved to Europe from Ghanaian club Asante Kotoko, joining Anderlecht Under-21s in January 2017. He subsequently became part of the Belgian club’s senior setup and had loan spells with Vitesse, Esbjerg fB and FC Cartagena before leaving Anderlecht for Tenerife in 2023.
His latest transfer adds another chapter to a career that has included football in Ghana, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, Portugal and Spain. Dauda’s market value is listed at €175,000, while his highest recorded value was €1.2m.
He now begins his first campaign with CD Lugo under a contract lasting through the end of June 2027.
