Former Black Stars video analyst and set-piece coach Gregory De Grauwe has joined Saudi Pro League side Al Kholood as the club’s first-team set-piece coach.
The Belgian coach confirmed his appointment after leaving Ghana’s national team in August 2026, bringing an end to his 20-month spell with the Black Stars.
“Proud to announce that I’ve signed with Al Kholood as First Team Set Piece Coach,” De Grauwe posted.
“Looking forward to this new chapter in the Saudi Pro League,” he added.
De Grauwe joined the Black Stars in March 2025 on the recommendation of assistant coach Desmond Ofei.
He worked as both a video analyst and set-piece coach during his time with the national team, playing a role in match preparation and the technical team’s work on set-piece situations.
His departure came in August after 20 months with the Black Stars, with the Belgian now taking up a new challenge in Saudi Arabia.
At Al Kholood, De Grauwe will be responsible for the first team’s set-piece work, covering both attacking and defensive situations as part of the club’s technical staff.
The move gives the Belgian an opportunity to continue his coaching career in the Saudi Pro League after gaining international experience with Ghana.
