Vision FC began their 2026/27 Ghana Premier League campaign with an emphatic 3-0 win over Young Apostles FC at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex in Tema Newtown on Saturday afternoon.
Vision took the lead after just four minutes through Naziru Alhassan Nyenye, who put the home side ahead early in the match.
The Apostles were unable to find an equaliser as Vision maintained their advantage and created opportunities to extend their lead.
The hosts doubled their advantage shortly before half-time when Setsofia Aqetey converted a free-kick in the 40th minute.
Apostles returned for the second half looking to reduce the deficit, but Vision continued to manage the game and maintain their advantage.
Aqetey added his second goal of the match in the 68th minute to make it 3-0 and further strengthen Vision's position in the game.
The visitors were unable to respond during the remaining minutes as Vision maintained their three-goal advantage until the final whistle.
The result gives Vision three points from their opening match under new head coach Predrag Jaredic, while Apostles begin the campaign without a point.
Aqetey's brace, alongside Nyenye's early strike, secured the points for Vision in the first fixture of the new Ghana Premier League season.
