Former Hohoe MP Dr Bernice Adiku Heloo is dead

A former Member of Parliament for Hohoe Dr Bernice Adiku Heloo is dead, close sources to the family have confirmed.

The passing of Dr Heloo, aged 70, which is reported to have occurred during the early hours of today, Wednesday 25th December, 2024 following a shot illness has also been confirmed by sources within her party, the National Democratic Congress.

Dr Heloo was the Member of Parliament for Hohoe serving in the 6th and 7th Parliaments of the 4th Republic from January 2013 until January 2020 when she opted not to contest her party’s parliamentary primaries.

The deceased also served under John Dramani Mahama’s first term in office as a Deputy Minister for Environment, Science and Technology and Innovation between 2013 to 2017.

She was born on 24 September 1954.

During the recent electioneering campaign, Dr Heloo was seen a few times at campaign events of the NDC.
