German-Ghanaian defender King Manu scored his first goal for Energie Cottbus to spark a 2-1 comeback victory over Erzgebirge Aue in 3. Liga action at the Eins Erzgebirgsstadion.
The hosts struck early when Marcel Bär finished a Mika Clausen cross after just five minutes, putting Aue 1-0 up.
Cottbus responded quickly, and on 12 minutes Manu rose highest in the box to head in from a Lukas Michelbrink delivery, levelling the game at 1-1 and shifting the momentum towards the visitors.
Both sides battled through a tight second half, but Energie Cottbus created the clearer chances as they pushed for a winner.
Their pressure finally paid off in the 87th minute when Axel Borgmann arrived in the area to slot home after good work from Tolcay Cigerci, completing the turnaround and sealing all three points.
The result keeps league leaders Cottbus on track in the promotion race, with Manu now on 17 league appearances, 1 goal, and 1 assist in the 2025/26 3. Liga campaign.
Energie Cottbus next face SC Verl away on Saturday, February 28, as they look to extend their strong run of form.
