A Security Expert Dr Adam Bonaa has said that persons who allegedly took pictures of their ballot paper after voting in the Special Voting Exercise should be identified and arrested.
Pictures of thump printed ballot papers emerged on social media during voting on Monday December 2.
Reacting to this on TV3 Monday, December 2, Dr Bonaa said “These officers should be arrested and be dealt with.”
Also commenting on this issue, a United States Ghanaian professor, Kwaku Asare wrote on his Facebook page ” I was shocked to see images of cast ballots circulating on social media. What’s going on?”
It is also recalled that during the special voting, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ayawaso Central constituency raised concerns about some voters who allegedly took photographs of their ballot papers after casting their votes during the special voting exercise.
The NDC Chairman for Ayawaso Central Harry Otu, told journalists that “I was seated afar, observing the process, and most of them voting Number 1, any moment they are voting, they vote and take pictures with their votes that they’ve cast.”
