Ghanaian gospel artiste and medical practitioner, Diana Hamilton, has achieved a significant milestone with her collaboration with Nigerian gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo.
Their song, “The Doing of the Lord,” has been crowned the most played song on Ghanaian radio in 2024.
According to music analytics platform Chart Metrics, in their 2024 music report, “The Doing of the Lord” garnered a remarkable 449 total spins on Ghanaian radio. A spin is defined as a track receiving at least 30 seconds of airplay.
Chart Metrics reported that a total of 2 million songs were played across over 2,860 radio stations in Ghana, accumulating a billion spins throughout the year.
While many Ghanaians are celebrating this achievement, others have expressed concerns about the overall number of spins recorded.
