Victoria Emeafa Hardcastle has been appointed as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Petroleum Commission by President John Dramani Mahama, effective January 17, 2025.
A distinguished legal and energy expert, Emeafa brings a wealth of experience to the role, making her a remarkable leader in the energy sector.
With a career spanning years in corporate and commercial law, investment, and the upstream and downstream energy industries, Emeafa has consistently championed policies to enhance Ghanaian participation in the petroleum sector.
She has served on key committees at the Petroleum Commission, spearheading initiatives such as local content promotion and compliance, financial oversight, and HR policy development.
Emeafa Hardcastle’s academic accolades include a Master of Laws (LLM) in Banking & Finance from the London School of Economics (LSE), a Barrister at Law qualification from the Ghana School of Law, and a BA in Law and Sociology from the University of Ghana.
Her leadership extends beyond legal expertise, as she has played pivotal roles in economic development strategies, trade reforms, and regulatory compliance in Ghana.
