Akoma FM has intercepted an internal memo cautioning Workers of Anglogold Ashanti mine against wearing of uniforms as tension in Obuasi escalates.
Reports indicate scores of the small scale miners had entered one of the shafts of Anglogold and clashed with the heavily armed military men working for the mining company.
Nine (9) people are reported dead following the clashes between the small scale miners and the military men who were providing security at the mining shafts.
Nine (9) others are currently receiving treatment after sustaining gunshot wounds.
Reports indicate three of the nine deceased victims died at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital after sustaining gunshot injuries and sent to the hospital for treatment.
