Empress Gifty’s mother Evangelist Agnes Annan laid to rest

Renowned gospel singer and television host Empress Gifty Adorye has paid her last respect to her late mother Evangelist Agnes Aba Annan in a heartfelt and emotional funeral ceremony.

The funeral, held on January 18, 2025, at Tema, brought together many notable figures in the gospel music fraternity, religious and political leaders to sympathise with the gospel artiste.

Various dignitaries, including Movement for Change leader Alan Kyerematen, the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Church, Rev. Stephen Wengam, businessman Dr. Osei Kwame Despite and many others, were present to pay their last respects.

Empress Gifty eulogised her late mother in a sorrowful tribute to honour her late mother in the form of a song at the funeral.

The event was not just a time of mourning but also a celebration of Evangelist Agnes Aba Annan’s life and legacy.

Performances from Gospel musicians like Diana Hamilton, ACP Kofi Sarpong, Broda Sammy, and Diana Asamoah took place, followed by a strong performance from Highlife artiste Kofi Kinaata.
