The Executive Director of the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA), Sulemana Braimah has told persons nominated or appointed by President John Dramani Mahama to see their appointment as an opportunity to serve the people rather than stealing and looting.
He served notice that the appointees who will engage in looting will be exposed.
In a post on his X page, he said “Congratulations to all all in-coming ministers and appointees. It’s my hope that you will see your appointment as an honour & opportunity to serve the people rather than to steal and loot. To those who mean well, we shall support you. To those who will steal, we shall expose you.”

Mr Braimah further told the appointees to declare their assets.
He wrote “ASSET DECLARATION: In the previous Mahama regime, the following appointees failed to declare their assets. I hope that all the incoming appointees will promptly declare their assets.”

Also making comments on the appointees of Mr Mahama, the Executive Director of the Africa Centre for Energy Policy (ACEP), Benjamin Boakye said while Ghanaians are expected to support the appointees of President John Dramani Mahama, it is equally important to keep an eye on what they do in office.
Mr Boakye made this point after telling the appointees that much is expected of them while they take office.
Reacting to a post on his X page regarding the vetting of Dr Cassiel Ato Forson (Finance Minister-designate) John Jinapor (Energy Minister-Designate) and Dr Dominic Ayine (Attorney-General nominee), he said “Congratulations, To whom much is given, much is expected— the destiny of Ghana is entrusted into the hands of these 3. All have to help but we have to also monitor what they do in the office… very important. 1. Fiscal recklessness 2. Dreaded energy sector financial crisis 3. The promised ORAL”
These three appointees have already been vetted by the appointment committee of Parliament, pending their approval by the house and the subsequent not swearing-in by the president.
Congratulations
