Ghanaian rapper Ayigbe Edem has disagreed with statement made by entertainment pundit Kwaku Osei Korankye Asiedu, popularly known as KOKA regarding the appointment of Abla Dzifa Gomashie as Minister-designate for Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts.
KOKA, in a discussion on Hitz FM on January 17, 2025, suggested that the Minister-designate for Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, Dzifa Gomashie, is not the best person to occupy the role, citing a lack of expertise in managing the creative arts sector.
However, Edem in a social media post on January 18, 2025 to reply KOKA, described the entertainment pundit’s statement as empty.
Ayigbe Edem, who is also a staunch member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), noted that KOKA’s speech is a long one with nothing relevant for Ghanaians to learn from.
“A long speech with Nothing Said…” he wrote on X.
Meanwhile, some netizens on social media have also expressed dissatisfaction with KOKA’s statement, urging him to refrain from making utterances that could hinder the development of the creative arts industry.
Member of Parliament for Ketu South, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, was nominated as the minister-designate for Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts by President John Dramani Mahama on January 16, 2025.
