Deputy Minority Leader and Asokwa MP, Patricia Appiagyei expressed her confidence in Education Minister-designate, Haruna Iddrisu to helm the affairs of the education ministry.
During vetting on Monday, January 20, 2025, when Patricia took turns to question the minister-designate, she ignored asking any question, rather she proffered her blessings upon the Minister-designate to propel in his position, admitting to Haruna’s capabilities.
“It will be most unfortunate if I don’t add my voice to the many blessings which are going the way in my beloved son in whom I am well pleased. So, I just don’t want to keep quiet but to bless him and I know your competencies and I know when people were questioning why education, I know what you could do so I bless you,” she stated.
Indeed, she was not the only Minority MP to express confidence in Haruna Iddrisu’s capabilities to head the Education Ministry.
Minority Chief Whip, Frank Annor Dompreh also stated: “We’ve known you way back and I know what you have done in the past. I can only urge you and encourage you, I don’t have a question for you or question your competence. I only want to caution that just be careful as you move forward.”
Other majority MP like Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor also reposed confidence in Haruna Iddrisu to deliver accordingly to his mandate.
