Ghanaian sensation Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has officially been named as Leicester City’s Men’s Young Player of the Year during the club’s annual end-of-season awards ceremony at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.
Fatawu has been a shining star since he stepped into England to play for the Foxes from Sporting Lisbon. The 20-year-old came into the Leicester team with some huge tasks ahead, considering he just signing as a loan player.
With expectations falling on his shoulders, the young Ghanaian baller impressed the Leicester City fans with his dazzling ability and skills on the ball, which eventually got the fans into their rhythm to compose a song for me. His telepathy on and off the pitch with the fans has been incredible and unmatched.
The young talent has scored seven goals and provided 13 assists, with the deal for a permanent transfer from Sporting Lisbon to Leicester City inching ever closer to happening after playing more than 60% of the games agreed by both teams. Leicester City will now have no option but to activate the €17 million purchase option.
