Not every stadium is suitable for hosting games. This could have avoided something like the demise of the fan, he said.Akanbi also emphasized the importance of venue selection in ensuring fan safety. Why do we play football under duress? Nobody should accept it, and this one I will blame on ourselves, he stated.Additionally, Akanbi attributed delays in implementing the league's autonomy to clubs failing to pay the required fees. He noted that the process for league autonomy was almost complete, but clubs had yet to fulfill their financial obligations.Akanbi believes that implementing the league's autonomy will improve safety and security measures, and urged clubs to take responsibility for their actions and fulfill their financial obligations to support the league's development.
