Kofi Adams reiterates willingness to address Ghana Premier League challenges
Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has reaffirmed his commitment to tackling the challenges facing the Ghana Premier League.Adams described the league as being in a sorry state due to issues such as hooliganism, poor officiating, lack of sponsorship, and poor television coverage.Our Premier League is in its sorry state, Adams said. Underfunded, poor discipline, poor corporate governance system, fan indiscipline, lack of security, we are not even coaching our fans. We need to look at all these areas to try and up our game.Adams has replaced Mustafa Ussif as the Minister of Sports. He acknowledges that there is work to be done to restore the league to its former glory.The Ghana Premier League has been marred by controversy, including a recent fatal incident that led to the temporary suspension of the league.
