Sulley Muntari urges GFA to involve former players to restore football success
Former Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari has called on the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to involve former players in the management of the national team.Muntari believes that the presence of former players can have a positive impact on the team's performance.Muntari shared his personal experience of being motivated by the presence of football legend Abedi Pele during his time with the national team.When I was in the national team, when I heard that Abedi Pele was in the stands, my football changed, Muntari said. Not that after the game I was gonna see him, but his presence alone. If he is there, my strength doubles up.Muntari expressed his disappointment at the lack of involvement of ex-footballers in Ghana football management. He questioned the absence of legends like Abedi Pele and Tony Yeboah from the national team setup.Muntari emphasized that involving former players can help restore Ghana's football success. When Abedi Pele is in the system, you put him in the right place. I'm not talking about coaching, he added.
