Medeama head coach Ibrahim Tanko has expressed satisfaction with his side’s consistency after extending their unbeaten run to 12 matches in the 2025-26 Ghana Premier League, as attention turns to Wednesday’s rescheduled matchday 14 fixture against Bibiani Gold Stars.
The Mauve and Yellow sit second on the table with 30 points from 15 matches, level with leaders Asante Kotoko but behind on goal difference, and remain firmly in the title conversation.
Medeama go into the encounter buoyed by a hard-fought 1-0 away win over Heart of Lions last weekend, a result Tanko described as vital given the competitiveness of the league.
The former Accra Lions boss highlighted the confidence within his squad, stressing the importance of collective discipline and belief, particularly in difficult away fixtures.
“The feeling is good, going 12 games unbeaten in the Premier League with all these good clubs. I think we did very well here. Going to Kpando, we had the confidence to go and grab all three points.
“I think we played as a team. I have always said that when we play as a team, we can face any side, home or away.”
Despite the impressive unbeaten sequence, Medeama’s run has included six draws, underlining the fine margins separating teams at the top.
Wednesday’s meeting with Bibiani Gold Stars, who boast a perfect home record this season, represents another major test.
