Malachi Boateng scored an equaliser to earn Plymouth Argyle a 1-1 draw with Stevenage in League One on Thursday.
The English-Ghanaian midfielder met a loose ball in the box and swept it home on 68 minutes, lifting the away end and rewarding his steady display.
Stevenage had led since the 53rd minute when Luther Wildin finished a low cross, and they looked set to take the points. Plymouth kept their shape, stayed patient, and found a way back. A set piece caused trouble, Caleb Watts nudged the ball on, and Boateng did the rest.
The visitors edged the chances, posting 1.03 expected goals from nine shots. Stevenage had more of the ball but could not add a second.
Boateng played the full match and kept things simple on the right, helping Plymouth press, cover, and link play. It was his second goal of the season, with four assists to his name.
Plymouth now turns to Burton Albion on January 4, aiming to build on this point and push up the table.
