Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola has praised Antoine Semenyo’s professionalism ahead of Wednesday’s Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur.
The 25-year-old Ghana forward is believed to be on the verge of a move, with Manchester City reportedly in advanced talks to meet his £65 million release clause, which must be triggered by January 10.
Several other top Premier League clubs have also been linked with the winger following a string of impressive performances this season.
The Spaniard says he hopes the winger delivers a strong performance despite uncertainty over his future.
“He has been very professional. He has dealt with this situationâwhatever happensâvery well. He's always been ready to play, to give everything, and I want him to play very well tomorrow, and let's see what happens later,” Iraola said, highlighting Semenyo’s commitment amid growing transfer speculation.
Semenyo has been central to Bournemouth’s attack, combining pace, power, and versatility to make a decisive impact.
He has already contributed nine league goals and three assists this term, and Iraola admitted that finding a replacement would be extremely difficult.
“He is almost impossible to replace,” the manager added, underlining the forward’s value to the team’s structure and attacking threat.
