AC Horsens will be without Ghanaian midfielder Abdul Moro at the start of the spring season after the youngster underwent surgery on one of his feet, GHANAsoccernet.com can report
The 19-year-old enjoyed a productive first half of the campaign, establishing himself as a regular member of the Horsens squad during the fall.
Moro made 16 appearances across all competitions, contributing two assists and impressing with his energy, composure on the ball and tactical discipline in midfield.
However, the promising Ghanaian has been struggling with a foot problem for some time, forcing the club and medical team to take the decision for him to undergo surgery.
Horsens have since confirmed that the operation was a minor procedure, but Moro is still expected to be sidelined for a few months as he recovers and regains full fitness.
The setback means head coach David Nielsen will have to explore alternative options in midfield when competitive action resumes in the Betinia Liga.
During Monday’s training session, youngsters Oscar Karimi Mandrup and Mikkel Kupijbida were involved with the first team as preparations for the spring campaign intensified.
The focus will now be on rehabilitation and recovery for Moro, with the club hopeful that the Ghanaian midfielder will return stronger later in the season to continue his development and contribute to Horsens’ objectives in the Danish second-tier league.
