Ghanaian winger Kamaldeen Sulemana came off the bench to provide a late assist as Atalanta were held to a 1â1 draw away to Pisa in Serie A.
Introduced in the 82nd minute, Sulemana needed barely a minute to make his impact, bursting down the left and sliding a low pass into the box for Nikola Krstovic to sweep home the opener on 83 minutes.
Atalanta looked set to extend their strong league run, only for Pisa to hit back four minutes from time when Rafiu Durosinmi rose to head in Mehdi Leris’ cross and rescue a point for the hosts. The draw ends Atalanta’s winning streak but keeps them firmly in the hunt near the top of the table after a largely controlled away performance that lacked a killer edge in both halves.
Sulemana’s cameo continues a promising Serie A campaign with Atalanta, where he has now made 15 league appearances, scoring 2 goals and supplying 1 assist in 2025/26.
Atalanta quickly turn their attention to Europe, with their next assignment a Champions League clash at home to Athletic Club on Wednesday, 21 January.
