Kennedy Boakye Ansah, CEO of Nations FC, has urged the Black Stars technical team to consider defender Razak Simpson for a recall ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Simpson last featured for Ghana in May 2025 during the Unity Cup third-place playoff, where he scored his first international goal against Trinidad and Tobago.
Speaking to Citi Sports, Ansah highlighted Simpson’s consistency, discipline, and dedication as major factors behind his strong performances.
Ansah revealed that the new Black Stars coaching staff recently attended Nations FC’s clash with All Blacks.
“Razak Simpson is a top player. He has shown tremendous commitment, discipline and the zeal to give his all for the nation’s cause and the national team,” he said.
“Fortunately for us, last weekend, one of the newly appointed Black Stars coaches together with the team manager came to watch our game against All Blacks.
“I’m pretty sure Razak was one of the reasons they came- not only to watch him but also to assess some of the other talents we have.
“We know his quality, we know what he can deliver for the national team, and we know what he’s made of. He’s a very solid player who can compete at the highest level globally,
Simpson is expected to play a pivotal role for Nations FC as they aim for success in the MTN FA Cup quarterfinals and maintain their challenge in the Ghana Premier League.
