Ghanaian winger Prince Junior delivered again for Nordsjaelland, scoring the opener in a hard-fought 1-1 draw away to Brøndby in the Superligaen Championship Round.
After a tight first half at Brøndby Stadion, Junior broke the deadlock on 60 minutes, sliding home from close range after timing his run perfectly to meet Mark Brink’s clever pass, capping a sharp counter-attacking move.
Nordsjaelland looked on course for a big away win as they soaked up pressure and threatened on the break, with Junior a constant outlet down the flank before making way in the 73rd minute. Brøndby, however, refused to fold and snatched a late equaliser in the 89th minute when Marko Divkovic turned in Mayckel Lahdo’s cross to level the scores.
Junior’s strike underlines his growing influence this season, taking his 2025/26 Superligaen tally to 8 goals and 5 assists in 28 appearances. The result keeps Nordsjaelland firmly in the battle near the top of the Championship Round table as they now prepare for another stern test at home to FC Midtjylland on Sunday, May 10.
