Port City Communications Director Kofi Jerry has made it clear that the newly promoted Ghana Premier League side has the financial muscle to sign any player they desire from the domestic top flight.
Speaking about the club’s transfer strategy, Jerry dismissed suggestions that money is a limiting factor while emphasising the club’s structured approach to player management.
"We don't have financial problems. We can sign any player we want in the GPL," Kofi Jerry said. "However, we have a structured system at the club, and our players are paid both weekly and monthly."
The comments underline Port City's ambition as they prepare for their debut season in the Ghana Premier League after clinching the Division One League Zone Three title.
The club has already assembled a squad featuring experienced campaigners such as former Hearts of Oak forward Isaac Mensah and ex-Aduana winger Zakaria Mumuni.
Jerry's remarks also highlight the club's commitment to financial discipline and player welfare, with a dual payment system that ensures regular compensation. As the transfer window approaches, Port City could emerge as serious players in the market.
