Isaac Assibu targets Malmo trophies after permanent first team promotion

Ghanaian youngster Isaac Assibu has set his sights on helping Malmö FF win more trophies after securing his future at the club until 2030.

The winger has been promoted permanently to Malmö’s first team following a rapid rise since joining the Swedish club from WAFA Academy in Ghana.

Assibu initially started with Malmö’s P19 side, where he scored three goals in six appearances before the summer break. His performances earned him regular training opportunities with the senior squad and eventually a chance to feature in the Allsvenskan.

The talented attacker made his league debut against Kalmar FF after being introduced at half-time, fulfilling a major ambition in his young career.

Reflecting on the milestone, Assibu described the experience as a special moment and revealed his ambition to contribute to Malmö’s future success.

“It was fantastic to get my debut in the Allsvenskan,” Assibu said.

“I just want to continue developing as a player and in the future I hope that I can help the team win more titles.”

The Ghanaian forward has impressed Malmö with his speed, versatility and ability to beat defenders in one-on-one situations.

With his contract now extended until 2030, Assibu will have the opportunity to continue his development at one of Sweden’s biggest clubs while aiming to establish himself as a key player and contribute to future silverware.
