The Black Queens have intensified their preparations ahead of Sunday's crucial Women's Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final showdown against Malawi, with the team putting in the work under the lights in Rabat.
Ghana's senior women's national team are leaving no stone unturned as they gear up for the knockout stage clash, determined to secure a place in the semi-finals and keep their dreams of a first WAFCON title alive.
The Black Queens finished second in Group D after a 1-1 draw with Mali, following a 2-0 victory over Cape Verde and a 1-0 loss to Cameroon. They face a Malawi side that advanced from Group C after finishing second behind Nigeria, having beaten Zambia and Egypt.
The team's preparations have been boosted by the arrival of Swedish coach Kim Lars Björkegren, who took over as head coach in February.
Under his guidance, the Black Queens have shown defensive organisation and the ability to create chances, though finishing has been an area of concern.
The winner of the quarter-final will secure a place in the semi-finals, where they will face either South Africa or Morocco. A victory would also keep Ghana's hopes of winning a first WAFCON title alive, after three previous runner-up finishes (1998, 2002, 2006) and a bronze medal in 2025.
