Ghana international Andy Yiadom has expressed his excitement after joining AFC Wimbledon on a five-month deal until January 2027.
The experienced defender, 34, joins the League Two side after a lengthy career in the English Football League, having made almost 400 appearances across the three divisions.
Yiadom says he is grateful for the opportunity to continue his career with Wimbledon and is eager to get involved with the team.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to play for Wimbledon, and I’m ready to give my all for the team,” Yiadom said.
“I’m really excited to get involved in the games that we have coming up.”
Yiadom brings significant experience to Wimbledon, having previously played for Barnet and Barnsley before spending eight years at Reading.
He made 253 appearances for Reading and was named the club’s Player of the Season for the 2021/22 campaign.
The Ghanaian defender will now look to use his experience to help Wimbledon during his short-term spell at the club.
