The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has unveiled the official logo of the new GFA U19 Premier League, marking another significant step in its ongoing efforts to strengthen youth football development and create a structured pathway for emerging players into elite competition.
The inaugural pilot edition of the competition will take place in the Greater Accra Region and will bring together selected clubs from the Ghana Premier League and the UMB Division One League.
The competition will be organised in a centralised Game Centre format, providing participating teams with regular, high-level competitive football while creating an environment conducive to player development, talent identification and technical growth.
Beyond match competition, the GFA U19 Premier League is designed to encourage clubs to invest more deliberately in their youth structures and provide promising young players with a consistent platform to develop their abilities against quality opposition.
The introduction of the U19 Premier League forms part of the Football Association’s broader youth development strategy, aimed at strengthening the transition from age-group football to the professional game and ensuring that talented young players have a clearly defined pathway to higher levels of competition.
The unveiling of the official logo therefore signals the beginning of a new chapter in Ghana’s youth football development, with the GFA U19 Premier League expected to provide a strong foundation for nurturing the next generation of Ghanaian football talent.
