The Member of Parliament (MP) for Bosomtwe Constituency in the Ashanti region, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum has retained his seat as the MP for Bosomtwe, in the Ashanti Region, in the just ended parliamentary elections.
At the end of the polls, Dr. Osei Adutwum, who represented the New Patriotic Party (NPP), garnered 46,797 representing 77 percent of total votes cast.
Ing. Abdullah Hamidu,the National Democratic Congress (NDC) representative attained 12,842 votes representing 21 percent of total votes.
On the presidential front, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia,the flagbearer of the NPP, polled 45,400 votes representing 75 percent of total votes cast, as against former president John Mahama’s 13,179 votes-22 percent of total votes.
