The Ghana Post Company Limited has re-opened its Railway Post Office branch in Kumasi. The said Post Office ceased operation when a fully loaded DAF vehicle, with registration number GT 327-23, ran into it on July 6, 2023.
As a result of the extensive damages caused to it, operations of the post ceased, to enable the company to assess the damages as well as plan for its renovation.
The refurbished Post Office, which boasts of ultra-modern technology to facilitate the needs of customers offers Business Mail Service, MoneyGram Money Transfer, Expedited Mail Service (EMS Ghana), Ria Money Transfer, Western Union Money Transfer and Parcel Service.
Other services include the sale of application forms to the Universities, Nursing Midwifery Training colleges, Colleges of Education, Ghana Police Service, Military Training, Ghana Prisons Service, Ghana National Fire Service and Immigration Service.
Mr. Kwabana Duodu, Post Master, disclosed that the post office is fully opened to serve clients from the surrounding communities including Asafo, Fante New Town, Adum, Nsuase, the Kumasi Central market and Zongo police station areas.
